Many Advantages To Using Audio Books For Learning
Audio books on tapes and CDs are becoming much more popular today, especially in the field of education in which there are a number of advantages to be had and which is best seen when you see the great success that is readily evident even in the case of those who are beginners or who struggle with being able to read properly. In fact, there are many advantages to using audio books for learning and that is why they are being used in many schools as well as in homes.

Other than the advantages of improvement in learning as a result of using audio books, there is also the cost factor that makes spoken books for learning a good choice since it is far cheaper to use electronic book sets than it is to buy paper based books since audio books for learning will do away with the need to buy individual books. In addition, teachers too find greater ease in teaching their students through the medium of audio.
Also, according to research findings, it has been found that humans generally learn as much as, it is believed, eighty-five percent of their total knowledge through listening, and using audio books for learning also helps in improving one's comprehensive as well as listening skills, and it also aids in learning how to pronounce words correctly. However, using audio books for learning is more than simply useful in the classroom, since those who study at home can also use spoken books to learn at home at their own leisure, and it can also help kindle greater interest in various subjects such as literature and even history.
Audio books for learning are also ideal for children, who as everyone knows, love to read and thus they can be exposed even more to much more than fairy tales, and spoken books also weans them away from laziness and bad habits, and it makes for fewer chances of the children getting bored. What's more, these books also have great sound effects that make the learning process more fun, and thus it makes children associate subjects such as literature with being a fun thing to do.
Even adults can use audio books for learning in order to pick up a foreign language since it is well known that learning new languages is considerably easier when one listens to the sounds rather than reads about new words. And, you also don't need to attend a class, unless of course, you want to get certified.
No doubt, you will find a number of different reasons why you would want to use audio books for learning, though education is still the topmost reason, and so you will be sure to find many more educational audio books than say, novels.

Can I load books onto my kindle that I have purchased for my sony e-reader?
I have owned my sony e-reader for about a few years now. However my wife just recently went out and got a kindle... Can I load books that I have purchased from my sony e reader onto her amazon kindle?
Or does the Kindle only work with in conjunction with the Kindle store?

Ebooks, Amazon and Ebay?
I really enjoy my Amazon Kindle and was quite prepared to buy all my ebooks from Amazon.co.uk; but now I find looking through Ebay I am able to purchase loads of books which would come on a CD in the Mobi format.
I'm confused, is this legal and if I can't find a Kindle book in Amazon is it okay to look somewhere else for an ebook to read on my Kindle. Also what about the authors, are they still getting paid by these other companies?
Also is there a program I can use to convert text to put on my Kindle?
