Find Free and Cheap Audiobooks Online
In this day and age, there are plenty of ways to "read" books. In fact, you don't really even have to read them at all - you can just listen to them! Today, I will show you how to find free and cheap audiobooks online. They are available; in fact, if you know where to look, you will have enough reading (or listening) material to last you a lifetime!
To find some book downloads, first, do a search online to see what you can find. You never know what kind of promotions might be going on out there. In fact, Audible.com regularly puts on promotions for free audio books online in order to get members. Check there first to see what kind of deals you can find. Other sites will do the same from time to time as well
Second, check sites related to the type of book you are looking for. For example, a lot of Christian websites have sites that give out free mp3 downloads, as they want to spread their message for free. Sometimes authors or distributor might to the same thing on order to get some publicity.
Not only do some of these sites give away these books, there are other sites that have load of free books that are now out of copyright. Once an author has been deceased for a certain amount of time, their works become free for public use. Therefore, if someone wants to make a recording of that book, they can! There are lots of sites like this out there.
Third, check your local music store or bookstore. You never know when they might have some great audio books on CD that you could copy to your MP3 player. These might not be free, but if you have a few old CD's laying around that you could let go of, bring them in with you and make a trade.
Finally, check craigslist and other online auction sites to see what you might be able to find. Sometime people are just trying to offload their old stuff, including CD's. Maybe there could be a few good books in there! Ebay and Amazon.com are other good places to look. You might even try checking your local classifieds in the newspaper.
Free audiobooks online are out there; you just have to be looking in the right places! Now go out there and find some and start listening away!
